Now go back and read the thread where I have been talking about autosave the whole time, which is also discussed in the article.

You can save locally by pressing the save icon, yes. But if you want it to autosave every 10 minutes it only allows you to use onedrive as a destination. Or else you are on one of the older versions of Word which still allowed local auto saving.
You haven’t been able to autosave locally for many years already. Changing the default save location is just for when you press save.
There are covers that mess up photography but still work for viewing normally with your eyes.
Actually it had auto save for more than a decade. It’s just that now they removed the ability to autosave locally, it must be to onedrive.
Depends how good the robots get.
But the billionaires won’t need us as slaves once they have their fleets of robots.
There will still be money, we just won’t have any. The rich will have armies of robots and watch us all starve to death.
I dunno, I’ve asked it to do increasingly more complex tasks and it’s obliged. Stuff like take these 10 pages of handwritten tables and ocr them and make a .csv out of them. It’s inventing a whole process to do that. Same with some examples of it programming entire games. You need some procedural thinking to do those things.
Ah the USR sportster. An ubiquitous workhorse of the early '90s
Listen, no one should knowingly and willingly put their countries through more pain just to “win”. I’m sure they calculated that the reduction in destruction was worth a try. They have levers to pull if it doesn’t, but it will just create a lot of destruction for all sides.
16 is definitely extreme, but having gone to war with YouTube’s junk to small kids and finding out there’s no preventing them falling down some junk rabbit hole, I’m pretty cool with it up to about 12.
This is a new frontier my friend, you have to carve your own path!
Yeah the obvious counter to this is AI job applicants who can play the numbers game, say what the hiring AI wants to hear and get hired enough times and long enough to grab some pay checks. This is already happening. Get the bot swarm ready.
Microsoft doesn’t expect growth in their OS offerings. These days all their focus is on AI and cloud.
Well okay you’re not wrong, there is always some sucker out there.
Well they can identify you are the same person but not your identity… So it’s like a disenbodied fingerprint.
I suppose they could potentially make some database and train an AI on it someday to match to actual identities, but usefulness would be pretty limited at only 95% accuracy. That’s a false reading 1/20 times, so I suspect it would fail bigly to accurately recognize people from large data sets.
Roblox is the absolute worst thing for kids.
All my kid’s friends are on it so I feel bad not allowing them to use it, but there’s no way to set it up that doesn’t allow them to access these horrible experiences without also blocking access to pretty much every normal experience.
The devs are allowed to set their own maturity level so this experience probably has the same maturity as Grow a Garden.
So I have to just constantly monitor it and manually block inappropriate stuff, but there’s a limit of 200 for blocking which I’ve already hit. It’s the worst.

No worries my dude.
