Lol, fortunately I tend to post stuff early in the day, and my gaming time is in the evenings after getting the kids to sleep.

A mild concern I have is that my GPU on the PC I’m using for Linux is an old 770… I probably won’t be playing anything close to current. But that’s not linux’s fault.

It’s been great! Way easier than I expected it to be. I know both of our distros are supposed to be good entry points for Linux. I spent some time last night figuring out how to add GNOME extensions for customization, which was fun.

I haven’t had time to attempt any gaming on it yet since installing last weekend, but I’m looking forward to trying tonight.

Fitting that it’s being offered by The Penguin himself.

Amazing. There’s a level of stubborn ingenuity that I can appreciate.

It’s too far from the router right now, but I have some options.

I needed to have the new adapter plugged in to use a tool from the manufacturer that is supposed to detect your adapter and install the most up to date driver for you, but of course you have to be online, so I was using the old semi-broken adapter and had both plugged in and connected to my router at the same time.

It seems jank, but it made me wonder what would happen if I just left both connected forever. Would it stay seamlessly connected as long as they both don’t drop at the same time? Lol

This is my jam. I really enjoy having a steep hill to climb.

If I catch the new one doing it, this is going to be the first thing I try. Thanks

Well, the PC is far from the router, but someone mentioned setting up a WiFi extender that has an ethernet port, and that doesn’t sound like too bad of an idea.

That was a perfectly reasonable response.

It did seem pretty consistent timing-wise. This is very possible.

Pop OS. It seems to be working for now, but I think my next step if it happens again will be to just use ethernet and call it a day.

So far… nope. I need to test it some more, but I’m just waiting for it to start happening again.

It sounds like you’re not alone, and it’s what I was trying to do too! I just didn’t pay close enough attention to the specs on my new adapter, lol
