Same for Voyager, Thunder, and Jerboa. Can’t work out which one to go to.

How so?
You mean the paid awards in September they just got rid of because Fuck Users?
Reasons not to pay £100 for Ultra: this.
I am a long time fan, but the price is just too high to justify for me, unfortunately.
That’s a premium tier price tag for less than premium tier service (in the sense of long patches of development silence).
Also on free version, also haven’t seen a single ad.
However, this long absence that LJ is renowned for highlights the reason paying £100 is too steep for things like Ultra or whatever it’s called.
And to repeat. You have no idea how the file system on android works. You most definitely can delete/backup/etc the photos, screenshots, etc on the phone via USB. You can not easily access app data as thats encrypted and stored elsewhere.
Not if the phone doesn’t give permission to lol. I speak from personal experience of a Pixel 3a. Previously connected and all.
Nope. Had this happen with my wife’s phone. Because developer mode had not been enabled previously and the screen was completely inactive, there was absolutely no way to wipe the phone.
Choice was either pay a stupid amount of money to get the screen repaired (and I’ve had a bad experience with screen repairs actually working) or bin the phone and hope that nobody bothers to try and fix and then gain access. :/
Hm. I’ll push through to get to the sequel, seeing as that’s what I was originally interested in.
As for Queens of the Wyrd… It’s a direct mirror of Kings of the Wyld? Ha. I have been wanting to read more female POV by female authors, so I might give it a try if I end up enjoying the plot arc of Kings.
The analogy to a drug dealer is on point. They’re relying on users being hooked on their dopamine outlet.
I’m trying to read Kings of the Wyld at the moment, because I picked up the sequel in a bookshop and liked the prose, so figured I should read the first book (obviously).
And… it’s okay… but I can’t help but feel it has this constant undertone of boomer/misogynistic/wife bad humour. I’m a third of the book through and I’m really not engaged with the stakes.
Yeah, Well of Ascension is the weakest of the three - as is a little typical for Sanderson it acts as a joiner/primer for the final act in HoA.
It’s only been a couple of weeks since he last appeared on the discord - maybe he just went on holiday for a couple of weeks.
I wouldn’t worry.
I do understand - it’s just a shame.
Disappointed that importing and exporting subscribed lists is an Ultra feature :( I can’t afford ultra.
Yup. Very, thanks. The question is will I remember for when I next need it…
