If they had like, literally any level of vetting on the ads, people might actually watch them. But its all fucking scams or podcasts of lies pretending to be ads etc.

I know it costs money to have people but sales people serve a purpose.

I really hate all these snaps and flatpacks and docker and blah blah blah.

Its about impossible to find a simple series of commands to just install and run some program anymore.

I also keep running into issues, especially with Docker where it assumes its the only thing that exists and everything uses the same port.

They can, get a set with numbers ane arrows, move the arrow each time you pass.

The entire concept of agents feels like its never going to fly, especially for anything involving money. I am not going to tell and AI I want to bake a cake and trust that will find the correct ingredients at the right price and the door dash them to me.

Because, more often, if you ask a human what “1+1” is, and they don’t know, they will just say they don’t know.

AI will confidently insist its 3, and make up math algorythms to prove it.

And every company is pushing AI out on everyone like its always 10000% correct.

Its also shown its not intelligent. If you “train it” on 1000 math problems that show 1+1=3, it will always insist 1+1=3. It does not actually know how to add numbers, despite being a computer.

I find its good at making simple Python scripts.

But also, as I evolve them, it starts randomly omitting previous functions. So it helps to k ow what you are doing at least a bit to catch that.

I have no idea about Google, I don’t use it, but Alexa, fuck Alexa is just more and more and more awful. It barely hears you, it does the wrong thing, it seems to just, forget timers. The other day my wife asked “What is the weather on Sunday” and it started rattling off about the weather in San Diego. Like, no, WTF Alexa.

I am not a professional coder, just a hobbyist, but I am increasingly digging into Cybersecurity concepts.

And even as an “amature Cybersecurity” person, everything about what you describe, and LLM coders, terrifies me, because that shit is never going to have any proper security methodology implemented.

You can definitely run a low traffic website with a Pi. You can run Minecraft Servers and such on Pis. Especially on Pi4s.

The problem is that server will probably use more electricity, it’ll be clunky to store, and it’s going to be loud as fuck.
