I am not in the market for a new laptop at the moment, but my next one is very likely to be a Framework. At least if they decide to add Nordic keyboard and support shipping to Denmark.

Of course it is. But admitting errors and avoiding to make them again is a pretty effective form of damage control, and it is the kind we should want from any company.
I am carefully optimistic about this. They addressed the problems and seem to take some time to fix them. I hope they will focus on quality over quantity as they promised.
Should I ask what it does before or after I use it? :)
I installed Ubuntu on a spare computer a few weeks ago just to rm -rf / it. It was quite fun seeing the os slowly killing itself :)
That’s the plan. Windows will be on one ssd and Linux (probably Mint) on another.
I am heavily considering switching to Linux aswell (though from Windows). I guess I would just spin up a VM if I need to run something I can’t get to work on bare matal Linux.
That sounds genius. The new drive is a 2TB NVME and the old is a 1TB NVME so that is totally a possibility.
I just bought a new NVME SSD as I need to reinstall Windows anyway. I am seriously considering at least dual booting Windows and Linux or just going full Linux at once. You guys in here and the Linux community on Lemmy show me that it is possible to escape Windows without too much trouble, even for a Linux newb like me.
Okay, I am not a complete newb, I have set up a few Raspberry Pis and do run a unRAID server, but I have never seriously used Linux as a daily driver on my desktop or laptop.
You are not the bot we deserved, but the bot we needed. And the but that we missed most of all!
It has grown… a lot. I have been here since the early protest days (6th of june). Those days, the front page was almost static for days, the most popular posts was lucky to get 20 upvotes, and it was a sensation to get 10 comments on a post.
A matrix chat would be more optimal then.
I know. That is partly why I don’t intend to buy one before they support the EU.
