Hopefully somebody forks it for platforms such as DEG. Vortex is the only objectively good thing that Nexus has done in recent years. Otherwise, I can’t stand those guys. From banning people for asking for a very simple feature that they end up adding a month later, to their more recent issues with censorship, they are not a good platform. The problem is that they’re very easy to use, which makes it harder to move away.

There are boatloads of things that we don’t have tangible, irrefutable evidence for, yet we believe in. It’s called faith. You have faith in things, you just don’t want to admit it. And just because I have faith in things that you don’t doesn’t mean that I don’t have the right to have that faith.

I definitely would love to come back if I ever find the time! I had a blast with it back in the day.

I don’t care for this mentality. I understand constant questions must get old for developers/contributors but the mentality that people should compile from the source is not conducive to growing FOSS. It is, however, potentially conducive to laziness from the devs. “Eh, why should I spend time releasing compiled builds? Let the plebs compile themselves.”

I never could get OpenRGB to work on Windows (it’d crash as soon as I launched it and I couldn’t find a solution). I’ll try it when I switch to Linux later this year and see if it works better for me then.

As I said before, it all comes down to the “homophobia” argument. No good reasons, just a hatred of its founder. Pretty sad, if you ask me.

What’s wrong is that we’re on the Fediverse and many here write off Brave because the founder is “homophobic” because he’s a conservative Christian. Sure, they make up all sorts of shallow justifications like “it’s a crypto scam” but it definitely boils down to the “homophobic” whining.

I hope to see more distros do this. Strongly considering buying a Pro license just to support them for doing the right thing. Screw Mozilla.

Nice, I once modeled my phone aesthetic after EndeavourOS’ default Plasma look. Some Linux DEs have some very nice aesthetics to them, especially when distros make their own custom default (eg. Garuda Dr460nized).

Immutable seems like a good idea and it is for security or for a console-like PC but for any sort of intermediate or advanced user, it’s not such a good idea.

You CAN but it’s a matter of time before you’ll have to upgrade to 11 or go 100% Linux because drivers and game clients eventually stop supporting EoL operating systems.

Native Linux support is always preferable if the developer can handle it or has the budget to do so. However, as long as it works well via Proton, that’s the important part. Love to see it. I haven’t used MS Office in well over a decade at this point and I have no plans to go back. LibreOffice is fantastic, suits all my needs, doesn’t pack itself with bloat and it respects my freedom and privacy. What more can I want from an office suite?
