Is yours ancient like mine? I thought the same but went into a shop and specifically tried the keyboard of a demo 17 and it worked as well as I recall it used to. Either that or we have the same disease. 50-50 at this point.

(Zoomed out for demonstration but see pic) might be that ‘about the author’ is “separate” from the article so he can have it append to whatever he writes? Who knows.

Weird, reader on mobile completely cuts that off and starts at “A lot of history and the good side” for me.

I didn’t downvote it but it is very long form and not attributed to anyone? At least on mobile. Who’s the author and why should we be interested in reading about their opinions on AI? Are they particularly qualified? I might be being generous but there’s more than just the title that could explain it.

Personally, I’d much rather have the choice than just have whatever gets slapped together and shipped by a dev. I’m particularly grateful having recently gone to 3440x1040p, just how many game support it and the options I can tweak to get my personal sweet spot of looks vs frames.
If there’s no low, med or high options that a lot of games ship with; no shame in searching “<game> best graphics settings” or some variant. I still do for some games when I can’t be arsed or when the performance sucks due to a random post processing effect being borked and tanking performance. Games are more complex than ever and with essentially endless permutations of hardware configurations, the graphics settings tend to reflect that.

The sentiment in this thread and the votes on the OP are why this is happening I suspect. Windows knows their consumer sentiment is so low it’s below the dumps. Honestly Im here for it, it’s nowhere near enough but focusing on UX for fucking once is a step in the right direction. Whether they don’t full M$$ it and shit the bed, yet again, remains to be seen.

The third party tool activates Microsoft’s new start menu since they’re doing incremental rollouts.

Lmao already people making their agents try this on the site. Of course what could have been a somewhat interesting experiment devolves into idiots getting their bots to shill ads/prompt injections for their shitty startups almost immediately.

More concerningly is this going to trial in the US’ current governmental “degraded” (to put it lightly) condition. NFPs get a bunch of concessions and benefits to being such. It’s not unheard of for NFPs to have for profits subsidiaries but I feel like letting them bootstrap into FP, often on the taxpayers/states dime should be, legally speaking, a no no.

And I appreciate that enthusiasm! Please keep posting just consider dropping the QR next time is my 2c is all.

On the off chance the channel is legit; ain’t no way Im following a random QR code from the net. This was pointed out the first time you did it.
I mean, I get slurs and stuff but drugs, sex, chauvinist? Like the one scenario it makes sense is to avoid Karens suing because a kid mashes the keyboard on the device they handed off raising their kids to, and ends up on an inappropriate website or something. Freeze peach barely even enters into it. Edit: I’ve worded this poorly I mean it seems like something more overt than a free speech issue. Like something that started as liability shielding that blew out. Ah well.
