I’m personally on the fence about this type of stuff. On one hand, yes I 100% agree about actually keeping kids safer online (not like the politicians “Think of the kids!” type of “safety”). On the other I don’t want anyone to have to give up privacy by having to confirm their age by sending some form of verification, whether that picture/video of ID with birth date on it or having an AI that will inevitably get so many false positives judge you, just to access a service online.

Sadly the only people who would switch over to an actual Linux phone would be the people like the stereotypical Linux using Lemmy user. The average android user would just continue on like nothing happened because they’re not tech literate enough to know what’s going on or why they should care.

MX Linux and the other side is a big deal for the next two years so we can get it in the future

Tried looking up the vehicle because I wanted to remember what it’s called, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it is, even after attempting to look it up. All I remember is that it was potentially a Chevrolet with 3 seats up front, 3 in the back, and a little divider thing in the middle of the back seats you could pull out.

I absolutely loved it and it was a sad day when we had to get rid of it. It may have been a safety hazard, with the back heating up and burning (thankfully it didn’t actually reach the seats, just heated them up, or there could have been 3 burned minors, myself included), but I still love it since it was the family car.

I’m definitely gonna have to continue searching for the name, using my limited car knowledge.

I’m not a car person, so shoot me for this if you want, but it was actually a Chrysler Concord. Again, I’m not a car person, so I don’t know much about vehicles other than basic things like how to change a tire or on changing the oil on a 2000s Toyota Town and Country.

My mechanically inclined father came to the rescue as to what it was.

Also, fuck Popular Science for making me think there was gonna be a zombie apocalypse due to some drug that turns you into a zombie.

I remember a little over a decade ago while I was still in public school hearing about super advanced cars that had self driving were coming soon, yet we’re hardly anywhere closer to that goal (if you don’t count the Tesla vehicles running red lights incidents).

I’d believe AI will replace human programmers when I can tell it to produce the code for a whole entire video game in a single prompt that is able to stand up to the likes of New Vegas, has zero bugs, and is roughly hundreds of hours of content upon first play due to vast exploration.

In other words, I doubt we’ll see human programmers going anywhere any time soon.

Reading other replies made me remember how I once, for fun, tried using a jailbroken copilot program to do python stuff slightly above my already basic coding skill and it gave me code that tried importing something that absolutely doesn’t exist. I don’t remember what it was called ince I deleted the file while cleaning up my laptop the other day, but I sure as hell looked it up before deleting it and found nothing.

Fair enough. It’s mostly 3rd person 3D, but the view isn’t always great, making for some frustration. There are, if I remember correctly, a couple 2D levels where you play as the army bird guy, but otherwise, it’s 3D.

I personally enjoyed Spyro²: Season of Flame.

One of the biggest problems I will say about the game, though, is that you won’t always be able to tell where you’ll land when gliding and will probably lose plenty of lives because of it.

So, how would MX be under the “How do you do, fellow kids?” one? It’s completely flying over my head.

So… Anybody smarter than me know that 24 across is. I thought something like showering/bathing because supposedly people don’t like to shower/cleanup as cons but neither seem to fit. Then I thought friends but that doesn’t make sense either. So I got nothing.

Edit: Remove the ING from showering and it fits. Gotta check the connected ones to see if it works, though, assuming I get those right.

Edit Edit: I absolutely hate the "Best WM (Wayland) one because that is too subjective to be able to be answered correctly, if you ask me.

In other news: healthy grass is green and the sky in a clear, sunny day, is blue.

To each their own. I got a used 3DS less than a year ago, so maybe that’s why I find the analog bad. Wear and tear.

Least favorite has to be a tie between switch joycons in general and the circle pad on 3DS.

Joycons on their own are too small to be all too comfortable disconnected and connected they’re slightly better since I can position part of my hand on the back of the switch, so there’s at least that.

And with the 3DS circle pad, it’s just nowhere near sensitive enough. Movements feel too quick, with little to no control over how far the pad move, in my opinion.

As for favorite, I’ll say that in general I absolutely hate track pads and everything they stand for, but steam deck is the only exception. With most track pads I’ve used recently outside of the steam deck, I have trouble clicking since the mouse buttons are built into the track pad and half of the time feel like they don’t work. Though with the deck I find it real easy to just click pretty much anywhere on pad and it’ll click for me.

Only problem I’ve had with deck pads is that sometimes the click is a bit too sensitive for me, so I’ll sometimes accidentally click while on the onscreen keyboard by accident or click while playing a game like Gemcraft, making me deselect a gem or power up while dragging over.

This was a jab at my lifestyle. Haven’t read the article.
