not OP but I’m here to confirm the Android version of Krita really sucks ass, especially on phones. It’s a direct port of the desktop version, windows and all, and if a window is too big to fit on the screen, tough luck. switch back to portrait and hope it works there. Krita is also very CPU bound and on my Pixel 7a there is almost a full second of lag between my stylus on the screen and the line I drew actually showing up.

I searched “waydroid aurora store crashing” on DuckDuckGo a while back and found a thread that said it was a regression in Aurora Store v4.3 and that v4.2 works. I’m not sure how to download old versions of apps from F-Droid though.

What you showed in that video is AuroraDroid which is an alternative frontend for F-Droid and distinct from Aurora Store (which is a frontend for the Play Store). Do you have the actual Aurora Store also?

The official app (maintained by the Lemmy developers) is Jerboa, which is what I’ve been using. It works well enough, although it always pays to shop around, install a bunch of different clients and see which you like best. Sync, to my knowledge, is the only client, for mobile or web, that renders spoilers in that broken way.

Are you using Sync? It never got the memo that Lemmy spoiler tags don’t work the same way as Reddit ones and famously displays them improperly

I think bundling it might be unique to the Waydroid FOSS image. I recently set up Waydroid with GAPPS rather than with FOSS (because AuroraStore still won’t run on Waydroid, grrrrrrr) and it didn’t come with it.

(Side note, if you figure out how to get Aurora to show a list of apps in Waydroid x64 without instantly crashing, I will love you)
