    thats where the jobs are though, cities. not all rich neighborhoods have 1+millUSD houses, it easily be a “lower cost” with that much expensive housing. you wont b finding jobs in a rural area. if you want to live a relative hcol, mcol area, in blue areas expect to live with roommates , or with your parents/friends/family only while not have the income to match the COL.

      OK, the USA has vastly more space in between cities, that factors in highly. But OK, I didn’t think of jobs as I rarely had one in the last decades. That surely matters a lot. Though most who live rural here simply work remotely. As getting their would mean an hour commuting or more. One way. That’s not life anymore.
